The NFL announced that Fred Jackson is the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week for games played on September 18-19.
Jackson had two touchdowns and 117 yards on just 15 carries to help the Bills overcome the Oakland Raiders, 38-35. His 7.8 yards per carry average was the highest among backs with more than ten carries.
Fans voted for more than their favorite players. The weekly FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week Awards are also a win for local communities. Along with the player awards,
FedEx is making a $2,000 donation in Jackson’s name to the local Junior Achievement area offices in Western New York. The funding is used to help U.S. small business development, by educating the next generation of entrepreneurs on how to start and grow their own businesses.
Good job voting Bills fans.
