QUOTES FROM THE GAME
Head Coach Chan Gailey
On putting the offense on RB Fred Jackson and how he performed:
We were trying to let him run the ball but then there was a bunch of passes that we had that we could get him the ball as well.  We were fortunate to be able to have those different ways that he could get the ball.  Then Naaman (Roosevelt) just came through and did a couple great things for us, that was big.

On if learning from last year’s losses has helped them this year:
I think that is part of it.  I think what we went through last year nobody wanted to go through again.  I think we learned we could play in the big ball games and we were right there and we’ve learned this year how to, haven’t done it every time, but for the most part we’ve been able to find ways to win the game in the clutch.  I think some additions that we’ve made to our football team have helped us.

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick
On the screen play to Jackson:
It was just a nice play that was drawn up. We got what we thought we’d get. Freddy’s been a great receiver out of the back field all year and if you can give him some space he’s a tough guy to tackle. He also sets his blocks up really well. I thought he did a great job on that one setting it up.

On converting in the red zone and his TD pass to WR David Nelson:
Again, good design. It was a good design play. We got what we wanted and what we thought we were going to get there. He’s obviously a great target to have down there.

RB Fred Jackson
On if they knew that they’d have to run the ball heading into the game:
I think it was. It was something we focused on all week. We knew that with the running game we’d be able to move the ball. We felt like we were bigger and more physical at the line so we feel like we’d been able to move them off the ball and the offensive line did a great job of doing that today.

On if he thought that the shovel pass would be there all day because of the wide line up of the Eagles defense:
It was something that we wanted to take advantage of with them bringing that wide nine. Again, hats off to our coaches scouting. They see things like that. We haven’t ran the shovel pass all year and we put in there so we really worked on it. It was something that we thought we could take advantage of.

S George Wilson
On making the game plans:
We wanted to force them to make quick decisions. Not able to just sit back, scramble and make passes. I got to the front, did a great job containing the pocket early on and late in the game. We were able to pull together and make some plays. When you go against Michael Vick, you can only hope to contain him. He made some plays but we also made some plays against him.

On the talent of Philadelphia:
We have talent, too. We don’t back down from any challenge. These guys have a lot of speed and we had to lockdown and not give up any plays. We did that today. We made them continue to take it one play at a time and keep everything in front of us. We ended up getting some turnovers. And I have to stay poised and composed. There is always room to take it one play at a time. It’s easier said than done, but I have to do a great job, fight and continue every day.
