— The Buffalo Bills announced yesterday that LB Shawne Merriman has been placed on injured reserve. The Bills announced today that the team has signed LB Antonio Coleman. Coleman joins the Bills from the New York Giants’ practice squad. The 6-1, 254-pound Auburn product entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with Buffalo in 2010. Coleman played in eight games in 2010 and totaled seven tackles (five solo). He will wear No. 59.
— The Buffalo Bills take on the Washington Redskins at 4:05 p.m. on October 30, 2011, but the party starts well before that with the Budweiser Tailgate, featuring a special performance by Juno award-winning Canadian rockers Finger Eleven. The Budweiser Tailgate begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 3:30 p.m. on game day and provides an experience that stretches from east to west, north to south in the area surrounding Rogers Centre. The Budweiser Big Rig will be on site along with the Bud Girls, great music, tailgate-style food, prizes, giveaways and interactive elements including the Bills Toronto Series mechanical buffalo. Special appearances by the Buffalo Jills, Bills Alumni and Billy Buffalo will also help bring the spirit of a Bills tailgate to Rogers Centre.

QUOTE OF THE DAY
Head Coach Chan Gailey
On if he looks forward to the Toronto game:
Yes I do. Who doesn’t wish that you had a home game? But at the same time it’s exciting to go up there. It’s different and it’s got a chance to be hopefully a better crowd this year than it was last year. We’re trying to do our part to make that a great place to go play in and a bad place for other teams to play.
