With news of a forthcoming contract extension for Ryan Fitzpatrick in the news last weekend, the Bills QB was asked about it Wednesday.
“I can’t say much about it,” Fitzpatrick said. “It’s one of those things that’s been ongoing throughout the season. Just have to continue to do what I’m doing and focus on playing and hopefully that all takes care of itself.”
When asked if anything is completed Fitz stated that it wasn’t.
“I have not signed on the dotted line, no,” said Fitzpatrick.
Fitzpatrick, who is in the final year of his contract, did admit that he has given the possibility of an extension some thought.
“I’d probably be lying if I said that it’s something that I haven’t even thought about all year,” he said. “It’s something you try not to think about. It’s something that exists and is in the air. I’m human too so I can’t just block all that away. It’d be something that I’d like to get done and we’ll just see how it progresses here in the next few weeks.”
