BDC 10/28: Game to be televised locally

Posted by Bills Daily Charge on October 28, 2011 – 8:41 am

— The Buffalo Bills vs. Washington Redskins game this Sunday at 4:05 p.m. at Rogers Centre will be televised locally and across Western and Upstate New York on Buffalo Bills television affiliates.  The Bills-Redskins game is the fourth regular season game and sixth game overall of the Bills Toronto Series. The first regular season game was in 2008 when the Bills hosted the Miami Dolphins.  In 2009, the Bills faced the New York Jets at Rogers Centre.  The Bills-Bears matchup in 2010 marked the third regular season Bills Toronto Series game played in Canada.  The Bills also played preseason matchups against the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2008 and Indianapolis Colts in 2010 in Toronto.  In addition, based on the local forecast, the roof of the Rogers Centre will be closed for the game.

— The Buffalo Bills take on the Washington Redskins at 4:05 p.m. on October 30, 2011, but the party starts well before that with the Budweiser Tailgate, featuring a special performance by Juno award-winning Canadian rockers Finger Eleven The Budweiser Tailgate begins at 11 a.m. and runs until 3:30 p.m. on game day and provides an experience that stretches from east to west, north to south in the area surrounding Rogers Centre.  The Budweiser Big Rig will be on site along with the Bud Girls, great music, tailgate-style food, prizes, giveaways and interactive elements including the Bills Toronto Series mechanical buffalo. Special appearances by the Buffalo Jills, Bills Alumni and Billy Buffalo will also help bring the spirit of a Bills tailgate to Rogers Centre.

Head Coach Chan Gailey
On what he thinks of the Redskins defense:
They’re not blitzing as much as first and second down. They’re doing a good of coming after you on third down and doing a lot of blitzing in the red zone.  They’re the second best third-down team in the league.  They’ve got guys that can come off the edge and they’re strong in the middle. London’s (Fletcher) playing very well for them. He’s doing a lot of things for them and playing well.  They’re scheme makes you work.  They don’t give you anything. You’ve got to work for everything you get. I think it’s going to be a great challenge for us, it really will be.
