David Nelson said if he scored a touchdown in Sunday’s game that he had something special planned for his Dallas Cowboys cheerleader girlfriend Kelsi Reich. The problem was the scoreboard kept him from getting extravagant.
“Obviously I wanted to do more and for it to be a little more special, but being down 14 I didn’t want to do too much because I’m not that kind of person,” said Nelson. “If it had been a better situation I would’ve done a little more.”
Nelson caught a three-yard touchdown pass and ran to the opposite end of the field where he gave the ball to his cheerleader girlfriend and gave her a quick hug.
“Being down 14 I’m not going to go and celebrate and do too much. The situation wasn’t right and I was really tired from that drive so I just do what I could. It was a special moment to be able to share with her.”
