As we profiled on the home page of today the Titans take an aggressive approach once they’re inside the opponent’s 20-yard line often taking a two-down approach come third down. Here’s how they’ve fared thus far this season on fourth down in the red zone.

Tennessee on 4th down in red zone
Wk 2 vs. Baltimore
4th-and-13 at Ravens 17 – Missed FG
4th-and-goal at Ravens 7 – FG
4th-and-g0al at Ravens 21 – FG
4th-and-1 at Ravens 10 – 10-yard TD run

Wk 5 @ Pittsburgh
4th-and-9 at Steelers 25 – drew pass interference penalty – scored 3 plays later on 19-yd TD pass

Wk 7 vs. Houston
4th-and-goal at Texans 5 – four-yard TD pass

Wk 9 vs. Cincinnati
4th-and-3 at Bengals 10 – five-yard pass for a 1st down – scored two plays later on 8-yd TD pass
4th-and-goal at Bengals 11 – FG

Wk 10 @ Carolina
4th-and-5 at Panthers 18 – FG

Wk 12 vs. Tampa Bay
4th-and-goal at Bucs 2 – 2-yd TD pass
4th-and-10  at Bucs 12 – FG

Basically the Titans have gone for it on 4th down in the red zone five out of 11 times and got a new set of downs every time, including three touchdowns.
