The 2011 Bills to this point have won one more game than the 2010 Bills with four games to play. A five-game losing streak doesn’t make one feel all that great, but head coach Chan Gailey remains resolute in his belief that this year’s squad is superior to that of last year.
“I think we’re a better football team than we were last year,” he said. “I think we are. I think that we have a lot of bright spots, but it’s hard to see them because we’re not winning.”
Most of Gailey’s players would presumably agree. The offense has been productive for most of the season and the defense added a lot of talent albeit inexperienced. The postseason may not be in the cards this year, but Gailey and his staff still feel the team is pointed toward progress.
