Cincinnati has their pro day today (Friday). Here are the two most notable prospects.
RB Isaiah Pead and DT Derek Wolfe both participated at the NFL Combine last week.
Pead at 5’10” and 197 pounds ran a 4.47, had a 33-inch vertcial and a 9’8″ broad jump. He didn’t bench however, so it’ll be interesting to see if he chooses to do so today. A north-south runner, Pead was coming off a good Senior Bowl performance in late January. He’s seen as a 2nd or 3rd round prospect.
Wolfe put together a nice Combine as well. He ran just a hair over a 5-flat 40 (5.01) and had 33 reps on the bench along with a 33 1/2-inch vertical. He also had a 9-foot broad jump at 6’5″ 295 pounds. Kind of a tweener DT/DE prospect since he’s a bit narrow in his lower body. He may not hold up well enough against the run on the inside in the NFL. Best fit might be as a 3-4 DE. Wolfe is viewed as a 5th or 6th round pick.
