LB competition

With his re-signing in Buffalo, Kirk Morrison finds himself in the competition for the starting strong side linebacker spot in Dave Wannstedt’s defense and he’s ready for the challenge, “Nothing is given to you in this league, at all.  In the NFL, everything is up to you go out to earn it and work for it, and I wouldn’t have it any other way.  To go out there, compete for it and may the best man win, whoever it is.  I’m comfortable with whatever decision is made, but I’m gonna give it my all, give everything into it, hopefully I’ll be the one come the first game that’s in the starting lineup.”

He also believes that a full offseason this year can make a big difference, “We’re excited for the process, the learning process that last year we missed out on because of the lockout, the abbreviated training camp, things like that.  This year having a full offseason, OTA’s, minicamps, offseason sessions to be able to understand the defense, go out there and execute it, fly around and make plays and have fun.”
