There have been some prominent NFL names that have already been released by NFL clubs in the past week to help teams create more cap space. However, Bills GM Buddy Nix doesn’t believe the big name cuts around the league are over yet.
In an interview with Bills flagship station WGR Sportsradio 550, Nix thinks there are still some surprises in store prior to the 4 pm deadline for clubs to be under the cap.
“There are going to be some guys announced at 4 o’clock to hit free agency that’ll shock some people,” Nix said. “People will let them go. There are some teams that went into this year thinking that the cap was going to be more (higher) after the CBA. Our guys kept telling us it was going to be flat and it is, so I think you’ll see some shockers released at 4.”
