Chances good for OT at 41

Taking a look at the NFL teams ahead of Buffalo in round two, the Bills stand a good chance of seeing a worthy offensive tackle talent reach them at pick 41. Here’s why.

The Rams have a pair of choices ahead of Buffalo (33 and 39), and are likely to grab a receiver with one of them. Tackle is a possibility, but not a likelihood since they’ve heavily invested in their tackles in recent years and are moving to more of a run-oriented offense under Kurt Schottenheimer.

Indianapolis (34th) has a lot of holes so if a tackle is best on the board it’s possible, but they could go a lot of different ways.

Baltimore at 35 has offensive line needs, but they lie on the interior at center and guard.

Denver at 36 needs defensive line help on the interior and are likely to look for a DT there like Penn State’s Devon Still.

Cleveland at 37 is not going to take a tackle. A receiver is more likely.

Jacksonville at 38 has a pair of pretty good tackles that they drafted in the first and second round back-to-back in the 2009 draft.

Carolina is unlikely to take a tackle with Jordan Gross and Jeff Otah manning the edges.

With four pretty good looking tackles still on the board in Mike Adams, Jonathan Martin, Cordy Glenn and James Brown, Buffalo seems to have a good shot at getting a left tackle prospect.
