This past weekend  Bills defensive end Spencer Johnson held his annual NoXSpence Weekend in his hometown community in Silas, AL.

The weekend kicked off with a talent/comedy show hosted by BET comedian Steve Brown. Over 100 kids ages 6-18 participated Saturday for Spencer’s NoXSpence Football Camp, learning from Johnson and Bills players Robert Eddins, Marcell Dareus and former Bills DT John McCargo.

“This turned out to be a wonderful weekend and I love giving back to the community,” said Bills defensive end Spencer Johnson. “This weekend was not just about honing in on the kids’ football skills but providing them with life lessons and stressing the importance of education.  I believe it was Malcom X that stated, ‘Education is the passport to the future, for tomorrow belongs to those who prepare for it today.”

The main purpose of the camp was to help the children excel at football, and learn the importance of preparing for the future.
