–The Buffalo Bills and the rest of the AFC rookies report to the Bertram Hotel in Aurora, OH for the start of the NFL’s four-day Rookie Symposium (held from June 27-30). The core teaching principles of the Rookie Symposium are NFL history, experience, player expectations, and professional and social responsibility. The program includes presentations, videos, and workshops focused on these principles as well as other topics, including player health and safety, decision making and maintaining positive relationships. The following NFL or former NFL players are scheduled to address the AFC rookies at some point this week: Aeneas Williams, Zak DeOssie, Matt Slater, Will Witherspoon, Michael Irvin, Antonio Freeman and Terrell Owens.

Former Bills QB and Hall of Famer Jim Kelly
On QB Ryan Fitzpatrick (via SiriusXM NFL Radio with Tim Ryan and Solomon Wilcotts 6/26/12):
“He knows he can’t do it himself. Last year was his first year, but he didn’t have OTAs to help him prepare with his teammates and really jell as a team. So this is really his first year with a full offseason and getting familiar with the offense and the players he has around him. He has to play better and I think he knows it. He doesn’t need me to tell him that. I’ll tell you what though I’m more excited about this year than any of the last 10 years at least. I know that.”

Former Bills QB and Hall of Famer Jim Kelly participates with kids during his 25th annual Jim Kelly Football Camp. The Camp continues today and tomorrow at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
