Stevie on the offense
Posted by on August 26, 2012 – 2:47 amStevie Johnson felt the offense had flashes of promise, but made it clear he wants great, not good from his side of the ball.
“We put up a touchdown and we moved the ball a little bit with the first group,” he said. “That’s just okay though. To me we can do better. I think me and (Ryan) Fitzpatrick can be on another level, but at the same time I have seen some progress with the guys and how we move downfield. We have to get some first downs.”
Buffalo’s starters on offense had seven first downs in their half of work and only three of those came through the air. Fitzpatrick and Johnson connected for a 23-yard pass play in the game, that was the second-longest in the game for the Bills.
