NFL trade deadline moved back

The NFLPA has reached an agreement with the NFL to move back the league’s trade deadline.

On Thursday morning the two sides agreed to move the trade deadline back two weeks from the Tuesday after Week 6 (Oct. 16th) to the Tuesday after Week 8 (Oct. 30th).

That could prove to be a very advantageous week for the Bills to swing a deal should their roster situation require it. Buffalo will be on their bye week in Week 8, so they’ll have the time to really focus on whether they need to make a move at that time.

There was also a rule change to injured reserve as teams will be able to re-activate one player on injured reserve. So a player with a long term injury who may be healthy enough to play before the close of the regular season would be able to come off I-R and play again.
