Posted by Bills Daily Charge on September 18, 2012 – 10:14 am

–This morning Bills DE Mario Williams will introduce his new cereal ‘MariOs’ at Tops store located in West Seneca.  Sales will benefit the Carly’s Club children’s cancer charity.

–Buffalo Bills LB Bryan Scott announced today the launch of ARTventure, a major program through his Pick Your Passion Foundation for the Arts. ARTventure, a semester long program, introduces students to the arts and humanities by partnering with local venues for monthly field trips.  With assistance from Child & Family Services of Erie County, the Pick Your Passion Foundation for the Arts has selected to work with students from The Stanley G. Falk School for the fall ARTventure program. Twenty high school students will complete the fall program as they travel monthly to different art and music venues in the Buffalo area.  The initial ARTventure field trip will take place on today to the UB Anderson Art Gallery. Students will have the opportunity to tour the many different exhibits and then create a piece of artwork themselves that they are able to take home.

–The NFL announced today that running backs Reggie Bush of the Miami Dolphins, Marshawn Lynch of the Seattle Seahawks and C.J. SPILLER of the Buffalo Bills are the finalists for the FedEx Ground NFL Player of the Week. Spiller carried the ball 15 times for 123 yards and two scores averaging 8.2 yards per rush in the Bills 35-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.  Fans can vote for one player in each category on from 9 a.m. EST on Tuesday through 3 p.m. EST on Friday to determine the FedEx Air & Ground NFL Players of the Week. The winners will be announced Friday on NFL Total Access on NFL Network and on

The Bills crushed the Miami Dolphins, 58-24, in the first meeting ever between the two teams. Buffalo set scoring and margin of victory records in the game. Booth Lusteg also set a record for most point-after touchdowns in one game with seven.

Head Coach Chan Gailey
On how far along the offensive line has come:
I give a lot of credit to those guys, but to Joe D’Alessandris as well. He does a great job of making sure those guys are on the same page. They are working together as a unit and communicating extremely well right now. They have given us two excellent performances, really, in the last two weeks. We have to continue to use them and what their abilities allow us to do.

On how big McKelvin’s punt return for a touchdown was:
You can never understate how big a punt return or a kicking game play is in a ball game. I would venture to say if you look at the first couple games overall in the season the kicking game has had as big of impact on wins and losses as maybe anything has. And that is the way it normally is until they settle in. That is what happens in games.

QB Ryan Fitzpatrick
On the offensive line setting a physical tone right from kickoff:
Yeah. They were nasty out there. They did a great job. It is really nice to see them getting some credit. The way C.J. (Spiller) is running the ball right now, no sacks in two games—the things you can look at stats-wise for an offensive line. They have done a pretty outstanding job the first two games.

Bills CB and punt returner Leodis McKelvin returned a punt 88-yards for a touchdown in the third quarter to help Buffalo defeat Kansas City 35-17. The 88-yard punt return touchdown was a career-long for McKelvin and the second-longest in franchise history (record = 91 yards by Keith Moody 10/23/77 v. Cleveland).
