In the end it’s not going to be his call, but Fred Jackson feels the best he has in a while and is hoping he can shed the knee brace he’s had to wear the last two games.
“I’m trying to come out of it now,” he said. “But I still have to get cleared by the doctor to do so, so I think it’s going to depend on the work that I put in this week.”
With Jackson and Spiller as close to 100 percent healthy as they’ve been in a while, Buffalo’s ground game should be able to look more like it did earlier this season.
“I think that’s going to be huge for us,” said Jackson. “Anytime you can get guys out there like C.J. out there making plays and myself back to what I was doing last year. We need that. We need to provide some spark for this team and have some explosive offensive plays. That’s going to work wonders for us and put points on the board and help keep our defense off the field.”
