It’s been a busy day at One Bills Drive, and it will be busy tonight on The John Murphy Show.
We start things off at 7pm with an update on the news of the day–the first day of the practice week as the Bills get ready for Tennessee.
At 7:20pm, the man in the middle of today’s news, LB Shawne Merriman, joins us in studio to talk about being back with the Bills. Merriman was signed Monday and he was on the field Wednesday afternoon at Ralph Wilson Stadium.
Later that hour, we’ll talk live with Tennessee Titans punter Brett Kern, a Grand Island native, who played his college football at Toledo. He’s in his fourth year with the Titans after two seasons in Denver.
Pro Football Hall of Famer Bruce Smith joins us live at 8pm. He’s coming to Buffalo this weekend to attend the game, and the halftime enshrinement of Bill Polian to the Bills Wall of Fame. Bruce was just honored in his hometown of Norfolk, Virginia last week, as a “Hometown Hall of Famer.”
And at 8:20pm, we’ll be live with former NFL QB Rich Gannon, in his 8th year as an analyst on the NFL on CBS. Gannon will be doing the color commentary for the Bills-Titans game this Sunday, and I’m sure he’ll have some thoughts on the Bills and QB Ryan Fitzpatrick.
We”ll open up the phone lines at 7:45pm and 8:45pm, with a lot of ground to cover tonight.
The John Murphy Show airs weeknights from 7-9pm on the flagship station for Bills Football, WGR Sports Radio 550.
