BDC 11/7: Bills Add Two to 53-Man Roster

Posted by Bills Daily Charge on November 7, 2012 – 10:20 am

–The Buffalo Bills today announced that the team has signed CB Crezdon Butler (pronounced KREHZ-duhn) and OT Thomas Welch to the 53-man roster. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deals were not disclosed.

–The Buffalo Bills announced yesterday that the team has promoted WR Marcus Easley to the 53-man roster.

Easley spent the first eight weeks of the season on the team’s Practice Squad. The 6-2, 217-pound wide receiver joined the Bills as a fourth-round (107th overall) draft selection in 2010, and spent the 2010 and 2011 seasons on Injured Reserve. He led Connecticut in his senior year with 48 receptions for 893 yards and eight touchdowns en route to All-Big East Conference second team honors.

Buffalo has placed CB Terrence McGee and OT Erik Pears on Injured Reserve. The team has also released K John Potter from the 53-man roster.

The Bills also announced the signing of WR Chris Hogan to the Practice Squad. Hogan, 6-1, 220-pound Monmouth (N.J.) product entered the NFL as an undrafted free agent with San Francisco in 2011. He spent a portion of 2011 on the Practice Squads of the New York Giants and Miami Dolphins.

DB Charley Warner

Defensive back Charley Warner’s record 102-yard kickoff return was the highlight of the Bills’ 23-7 victory over the Patriots in Boston.

RB C.J. Spiller
Q: Are you confident when defenses do that you can handle that along with the offensive line and produce the yards?
A: Without a doubt. We have our guys getting back healthy. This is the best that I have felt since Week One. We just have to continue to work. We know it is not going to get any easier. We know if every game we have a great week of preparation like we did leading up to the Texans we will be fine. We know what every team presents.
