–To help honor the NFL’s effort to keep America’s youth healthy and active, the Buffalo Bills have invited 18 students and their teachers on-field prior to kickoff against the Jacksonville Jaguars on December 2nd in recognition of their participation in this year’s PLAY 60 Challenge sponsored by BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and the American Heart Association, and Fuel Up to Play 60 program, sponsored by the American Dairy Council and Dairy Association, which encourages youth to get at least 60 minutes of physical activity each day and make healthy eating decisions.

November 30, 1959 BILLS TEAM NAME ADOPTED
President Ralph Wilson, Jr. selected the name “Buffalo Bills” for his new AFL team, adopting the name of Buffalo’s AAFC team (1947-49) which was named after the legendary “Pony Express” rider.

Head Coach Chan Gailey
Q: Can you talk about how reliable OG Andy Levitre has been? He seems to have been a rock for you guys.
A: Yeah. That is one of the amazing things because Andy (Levitre) is not the biggest guy out there. For him to take the pounding, to play and show up week in and week out, that has been very, very impressive. He is not 100-percent I can promise you. He is out there battling every week and trying to get better. He has been, as you said, solid as a rock for us since we have been here.
