Gailey: Fred likely headed to I-R
Posted by on December 10, 2012 – 6:39 pmChan Gailey said Monday morning that it didn’t look good for Fred Jackson’s chances the rest of the year after sustaining a knee injury. Now the Bills head coach has given strong indication that the veteran back is headed to I-R.
“He’s not going to make it. He’s going to be out for the rest of the year,” said Gailey.
When asked if he’s headed to injured reserve, Gailey wasn’t ready to go that far yet.
“It looks like it, but let me hold off to see what is officially, but that looks like the plan, yes,” said Gailey.
Gailey also said Jackson’s MCL sprain is more likely to be a 4-5 week injury than a 2-3 week injury.
