BDC 12/11: LB Bryan Scott Recognized

Posted by Bills Daily Charge on December 11, 2012 – 10:26 am

–Today, 350 Buffalo Public School, Orchard Park Elementary School and East Aurora Middle School students will participate in an interactive fitness event in the Buffalo Bills Healthy Zone Fieldhouse.  The event will include appearances by Buffalo Bills players, Jills Cheerleaders and Bills mascot Billy Buffalo. Students will also receive a healthy lunch and gift bags with items from the Buffalo Bills, BlueCross BlueShield of Western New York and the American Heart Association.

Bills players will speak to the students in attendance about the importance of healthy living and will provide tips for how to eat right and stay active before joining the children in physical activity stations including Gatorade Junior Football Camp and Gatorade Drinking Stations.

Head Coach Chan Gailey
Q: How much has the run defense improved in the last month and what has been the key there?
A: I am going to answer that question the same way I answered it last week. I think there is a great trust factor amongst our defensive players that everybody has their gap. They stay in their gap and they are very disciplined about attacking the line of scrimmage in their gap. We are not giving very many creases. I think the longest run we had yesterday against us was maybe 12 yards, nine yards—something like that. I know it was not much. The run defense, you really predicate your defense on your run defense and it has been outstanding.

Bills DT Marcell Dareus poses with fans for a photo at the New Era Toronto Flagship store yesterday. Along with Darues, RB C.J. Spiller, DE Kyle Moore, and LB Kelvin Sheppard signed autographs and took photos with selected guests at this invitation-only event to promote the Buffalo Bills vs. Seattle Seahawks game at Rogers Centre on Sunday at 4:05pm.

Bills LB Bryan Scott hosted a holiday fundraiser event to benefit his ‘Pick Your Passion Foundation for the Arts’ yesterday at Artisan Kitchens and Baths in Buffalo. ‘Evening with the Arts’ was a night dedicated to celebrating the music, art and culinary avenues that Buffalo has to offer. Scott was also awarded the ‘Walter Payton Man of the Year’ Award presented to him by last year’s recipient S George Wilson.
