On the philosophy going forward to bring in a head coach:
Bills President and CEO Russ Brandon:
“If there is a coach that we identify or an individual that we identify that can help this organization take it to another level we will do that. When you look at what we have done over the past couple of years in trying to improve this roster, we have stayed with our philosophy of draft, develop and sign your core players. It is well-documented… We have brought in Mario Williams. We have brought in Mark Anderson. I believe we were probably third in the league last year in committed cash. This organization is willing to do anything it takes to take it to the next level. The fact of the matter is simply, we have not won enough games. That is on us. We are going to change it. We need to change it. I will go to the end of the earth to make sure that we change it.” – January 1, 2013
