BDC 3/27: Bills & United Way to be Honored

–The Board of Directors of the Lackawanna Area Chamber of Commerce has announced that the 2012 Citizens of the Year Award will be presented to the Buffalo Bills/United Way Hometown Huddle Project organizers and volunteers. Over 250 volunteers came together and in the course of 6 hours and built a playground for the community. The playground was the vision of the Buffalo Bills Senior Manager of Community Relations Preston Teague who will be honoredThe list of organizations involved in the project included, but were not limited to, the Buffalo Bills, the American Dairy Association, Baker Victory Child Pro, Ka-BOOM, the United Way of Buffalo and Erie County, the NFL-United Way Hometown Huddle. The awards dinner will be held on Wednesday, April 10th at Lucarellis Banquet Center.

On entering the final year of his rookie contract and approaching the upcoming offseason workouts:
“Hopefully I can have a deal done with Buffalo before too long, and seal up my future in Buffalo. But at this point, I’m just looking forward to my fifth year in Buffalo, really feeling healthy this time of the year for the first time in a while, and I’m doing OTAs for the first time in a while, and just really excited about this season’s going to bring.” – via The John Murphy Show
