QUOTE OF THE DAY
JIM KELLY, former Buffalo Bills and Hall of Fame QB on facing cancer head on:
“Oh it has been my whole life. We’re from Buffalo. We’ve been to the top and we’ve had fun, but we’ve been at the bottom and it’s just one of those things that I’ve been through my whole life and just the way it has been. I wish I could say that everything I’ve done in life, everything’s went by piece, but I think for most people that’s the way it is. You have challenges, you have to confront them head on and this is just another one…I’m down at the bottom, but I will rise to the top again.”

The event serves as a benefit for Kelly for Kids – a not-for-profit foundation committed to providing funding and support to those organizations throughout Western New York that operate for the benefit of disadvantaged and disabled youth. Through its grant program, Kelly for Kids supports various entities focused on children’s needs and issues, especially those that serve the handicapped and disadvantaged.
