Earlier in the week ESPN’s John Clayton was not optimistic for most of the franchise tagged players in the NFL to get long term extensions completed with their current clubs, including Buffalo’s Jairus Byrd. Now another national reporter is echoing that stance.
CBS Sports’ Jason LaCanfora isn’t optimistic that Byrd and the other franchised players around the league will get long term deals done prior to the Monday 4 pm deadline. LaCanfora left the door open a crack for the Bills, but still deemed a long term deal prior to Monday unlikely.
