Undrafted rookie Da’Rick Rogers had nothing promised to him when he signed with the Bills. But less than a week into training camp Rogers has looked strong, fast and consistent in the opportunities he’s had during the team periods. Head coach Doug Marrone has been impressed as well.
“I think he stepped it up from OTAs and minicamp,” said Marrone. “I think he’s in better shape than he was before. That’s a credit to him and the conditioning people and what he did in the offseason. He’s done some nice things. He’s had some separation. He’s a big receiver with strong hands. He’s going to be competing for a roster spot.”
Rogers has been rewarded with some snaps with the first unit on offense at times. We’ll see if those opportunities increase in frequency in the coming days.
