Bills WR Stevie Johnson is not going to be lining up in practice any time soon. For a receiver that missed a good portion of the spring practices and will now miss at least a week, establishing chemistry with the quarterbacks becomes more challenging.
“Later on we’ll have to make that (chemistry),” Johnson said. “I think it’ll be easier for all of us when we have our 53 and we get into those weeks where we know what we’re going to run. We know who is going to be where. Then you can
communicate a little more with your quarterbacks. That’ll come. Did we want it come now? Yeah that would be good. That’s ideal, but unfortunately that’s not going to happen for me. It’ll happen for the other guys though.”
Johnson’s unorthodox route running was something that Kevin Kolb and EJ Manuel were just getting accustomed to in the practice setting. Now that will be interrupted for an undetermined amount of time. Hopefully they can pick up where they left off when Johnson returns to practice.
