Bills RB C.J. Spiller looked faster than he did last season on his first two carries in the Colts game. Spiller ripped off runs of 17 and 15 yards and almost took his 17-yarder the distance. EJ Manuel was glad he was able to lean on his running back to move the sticks early and help him in other ways.
“It helped a lot,” said Manuel of Spiller’s early runs. “Seeing him in the ACC on the other side of the ball for a long time, now having him on my team is a great feeling.”
“C.J. has done a great job and is helping me out a lot with the protections and we communicate back there in the backfield. I’m happy to be one of his teammates.”
