Rookie QB EJ Manuel wrapped up his first day back on the practice field Sunday, eager to see how his knee will feel on Monday.
It was the first practice Manuel has had with his teammates since undergoing a minor surgical procedure on his left knee two weeks ago. He got hurt in the third quarter of the Bills second preseason game against the Vikings.
After saying he felt fine after practice, Buffalo’s first round draft pick added that it’s important that he not experience too much soreness or swelling when he tries to hit the practice field on Monday.
“I just really want to see how it reacts tomorrow as far as the soreness and things like that,” Manuel told reporters. “I don’t think I’ll have any soreness because I didn’t have any after I ran around and threw the other day. So I’m just looking forward to be moving on tomorrow and hopefully I’ll get more reps in practice.”
