RB C.J. Spiller combined with RB Fred Jackson have provided the Bills with a consistent ground attack this season, as the duo has the team atop the AFC rushing ranks having accumulated 763 yards on the ground through five games.

C.J. SPILLER, Buffalo Bills Running Back
Q: You guys have seen your share of eight-man fronts already with a rookie quarterback, now you have a guy that most would think is every bit of green back there calling the signals, what do you have to do to convince defenses they better drop that safety every so often?
A: Well, we know going into this game these guys are going to want to come in and stop the run. Obviously they’re going to want to make Thad throw the ball and beat them. I tried to tell him today, that’s a challenge he should embrace. When teams come up and want to stop our run and want you to beat them, you should go out there, embrace that challenge and prove them wrong. Eventually you’ll get them out of that eight-man box, but until they know we make plays in the passing game throughout the course of the game, that’s what they’re going to do. With us, we want to try and take as much pressure off him as much as possible and it’s going to be one of those games where you have to take what they give you because these guys don’t give up too many deep runs and stuff like that. It’s going to be one of the most physically games we’ve played so far this season. We look forward to it.
