Stevie Johnson fought his way through the rest of Sunday’s game after initially aggravating his left groin and his flexor following his first reception early in the second quarter. On Monday he said he was still feeling pretty stiff.
“It’s real tight,” Johnson said. “The hip flexor is tight and I tried to keep it stretched so it won’t pop or have something completely tear. I ended up walking off without a complete tear. I don’t know for sure. We’ll see later on if I go and get the MRI.”
Johnson has already had one treatment for his ailment and has two more scheduled on Monday. He said after his final treatment he’ll know whether the athletic trainers and team physicians want him to get an MRI to get a better look at his injury.
The Bills top wideout doesn’t know for sure, but believes by Sunday he’ll be good enough to play against the undefeated Chiefs.
“It’s still too early to even make any kind of guess on if I’ll be good for Sunday,” he said. “Right now I feel it a lot, but as the week goes on with the treatment and everything I should be good and ready to go for Sunday.”
