QUOTES OF THE DAY
RUSS BRANDON, Buffalo Bills President and CEO on WGR 550
Q: What part of football analytics will (Director of Analytics, Michael Lyons) be involved in?
A: He’ll be involved in a little bit of everything. Within the football department, he’ll be involved, as I’ve mentioned before, in our salary cap management elements. Everything that has a probability factor or has an opportunity to be reviewed, that’s how we’re approaching it. You know I’ve talked about this many times, it is going to be a layer of information that helps people make informed decisions. It will never override game management or football or scouting procedures, but it will provide more information. I’m all about providing as much information to our decision makers as possible to make informed and good positive decisions.
