Stevie: Guys better be frustrated
Posted by on November 4, 2013 – 1:55 pmStevie Johnson was not in the best of moods Monday morning feeling they tossed away a chance to hand the Chiefs their first loss of the season. And he said if you’re a player and you’re not put off by the way Sunday’s game unfolded, then you’ve got a problem.
“Yeah, yesterday was frustrating because we felt like we had the game. We controlled the game and ended up coming out with another loss,” said Johnson. “If you’re not frustrated about that, then you shouldn’t even be in this locker room right now. We should be filled up with fire and ready to go at it next Sunday. That’s how I feel right now.”
Johnson did say later that he feels on the whole the locker room is still an optimistic one.
“I think this group is optimistic. I know me for sure I am. I know we look at the schedule and say, ‘We’ve got to make a run here, here, here,’” Johnson said. “It started last week we didn’t get it though. Now we’ve got to go to the next week. Now we’ve got to get Pittsburgh and hopefully we can get those wins to stack and we’ll see where we’re at by the end of the season.”
