With the news that Mario Williams and Kiko Alonso are the leading vote getters at their respective positions for the fan balloting for the 2014 Pro Bowl, we thought we’d look at the last time the Bills sent a rookie to Hawaii and the last time Mario played in the league’s All-Star game.
Williams has gone to a pair of Pro Bowls in his career while playing for the Houston Texans. The last time he was named to the AFC squad was 2009. He also went in 2008.
As far as rookies go, if Kiko Alonso were named to the AFC Pro Bowl roster, he’d be the first rookie to do so since Jairus Byrd went as a first-year player in 2009.
