Bills head coach Doug Marrone could see it as plainly as anyone else watching Sunday’s game. The team took a step back in several areas. At this point in the season he knows his teams should be taking positive steps, however small, to show the fan base the team is headed in the right direction. He lamented the fact that it didn’t happen Sunday.
“I’m not going to lie. I feel like we let down ownership, we let down the fans,” said Marrone. “We had a bunch of fans down here, we really did. It’s important for us and sometimes it’s very difficult for those fans to see on the outside, of what is progression and what is not progression and that is a difficult thing. I have to do a good job and give them things that they can visibly see on the field to make sure they understand that we are working toward going in the right direction.”
Marrone only promised that he would redouble his efforts to fix the problems that plagued his team in a 27-6 loss Sunday at Tampa.
