Construction update at RWS: Jan. 15

Other construction updates: Nov. 12 | Nov. 20 | Dec. 4 | Dec. 19 | Jan. 15

–Bench seats will be removed in the west end club level to prepare for application of traffic coating.  The existing benches will be replaced with new bench seats.
–Construction will continue in the northeast corner of the lower concourse for foundations for the new video board.  Upon completion, crews will then mobilize to the southeast corner.
–Delaware North is assisting with the removal of product and vendor-owned equipment from the concession stands in order for interior demolition to take place.
–Stadium operations is assisting with de-watering the stadium in preparation for interior demolition of stadium restrooms.
–Delaware North has vacated the retail operations space and the commissary in the admin building to make way for the new concessions, restroom and expanded concourse that is planned for the ground floor of the building.

Operations Building
–Interior work continues with partition walls, doors, windows, electrical, HVAC and data services.
–Expected completion is late January 2014.

Commissary Building
–Work continues on the installation of metal wall and roof panels.
–Exterior stairs on the north and the southeast ends of the building will be constructed this week.
–Expected completion is June 2014.

Training Center
–Relocation of underground utilities continues in the east (locker room) and west (weight room) side of the training center.
–Foundation construction has begun and will continue over the next few weeks.
–Crews will begin to identify interior walls that will be removed in order to make way for the building renovations.  Look for the painted “X” throughout the building.

Site Work
–The perimeter construction fence is being installed around the entire stadium.
–Work in the very near future will involve removal of the existing chain link fence and entry gates.
