The new league year marked by the start of free agency is almost two months away (March 12th), but it’s never too early to look at the decisions that teams have to make on some of their more notable players whose contracts are about to expire. Fortunately for the Bills there won’t be a lot of decisions for them when it comes to unrestricted free agents.

Taking a look across the league Buffalo is tied for the fewest number of unrestricted free agents. After re-signing Brian Moorman shortly after the end of the regular season, Buffalo’s list of unrestricted players sits at just a half dozen. That’s tied for the fewest in the league with Cleveland.

Here’s a look at the six NFL clubs with the fewest upcoming free agents on their roster, and the clubs with the six longest lists of unrestricted free agents.

Fewest free agents
Buffalo – 6
Cleveland – 6
Jacksonville – 8
Philadelphia – 8
Dallas – 9
St. Louis – 9

Most free agents
Chicago – 23
NY Giants – 22
Carolina – 21
Pittsburgh – 21
Oakland – 18
Tampa Bay – 18
