A good number of mock drafts of late have Buffalo getting the best receiver on the board. Most NFL personnel executives don’t see Sammy Watkins lasting beyond the top five selections, but this prognosticator sees the dynamic Clemson receiver sliding.
NFL.com’s Daniel Jeremiah has Watkins sliding all the way to Buffalo with the ninth overall pick. Here’s his brief breakdown on the pick.
PICK NO. 9
SAMMY WATKINS WR – CLEMSON
In this scenario, the Bills couldn’t pass up the most dynamic offensive player in the draft.
I’m still not so sure Watkins stays on the board this long. If he slips past the fifth spot I could foresee another team trading into the top 10 to land the Clemson wideout. If he does somehow fall into Buffalo’s lap at nine however, I think the Bills would be hard pressed to pass on him.
