Free agent wide receiver Kenny Britt wrapped up his visit to One Bills Drive Friday afternoon and went on his way. He told reporters at the stadium that after visiting the Bills, Redskins, Patriots and Rams over the last few days, he expects to make one more visit, to the Carolina Panthers.
And Britt insists it’s not money that he’s after in his next NFL contract, it’s a good situation.
“To tell you the truth it’s the environment, the people,” Britt said. “I’m trying to get a great feeling about everything. Right now, it’s not about a contract, right now it’s just about going somewhere where I can establish myself and get back to the fun of football, and hopefully the coaching staff can help me.”
Britt said he met with Bills GM Doug Whaley and Coach Doug Marrone in Orchard Park Friday. He says the meetings went well, and he got a chance to tell the Bills brain trust what he can bring to a team.
“I’m a big physical receiver,” he said. “I play the game with a passion. I’ve been here (in the NFL) five years, so the mental part of it is easier than it was in my rookie year. I bring a lot to a team, emotionally, because I have a real passion about the game and I love it. Hopefully I land somewhere good and emotional just like I am.”
Britt said he expects to have a decision on his next team in the next 2-3 days.
