BDC 5/30: Bills Sign OL Kouandjio

Posted by Bills Daily Charge on May 30, 2014 – 10:23 am

— The Buffalo Bills announced that the team has signed second-round (44th overall) draft selection OL Cyrus Kouandjio. In accordance with team policy, terms of the deal were not disclosed. Kouandjio played in 35 career games at Alabama and started each of his final 27 games played. The 6-7, 322-pound Tide product was an All-Southeastern Conference first-team selection in 2013, helping the offense generate 5,903 yards of total offense while holding opponents to 10.0 quarterback sacks during the regular season. The Bills have now signed all seven of their 2014 draft picks.

Bills second round pick Cyrus Kouandjio works on his form during yesterday’s OTA prior to signing his rookie contract with the team.

On competing for jobs…
“It’s a great opportunity for the guys next up, and you know we’re out there battling for a job.  You know it’s football, so we’re out there having fun at the same time.  In the back of your head, there’s a guy that needs to get a job and you know we’re out there battling, and it’s great to be out there competing.  I love the competition.”
