EJ renews commitment to ‘Scoring for Good’

Posted by Buffalo Bills on August 5, 2014 – 3:56 pm

Knowing all too well what it’s like after his mom’s tough but successful fight with breast cancer, EJ Manuel aligned last year with Camp Kesum, an organization built on helping children who have been affected by a parent’s cancer.

Today he announced he’ll participate again this season in their Scoring for Good campaign, which attaches a donation with every touchdown Manuel makes. With each touchdown he’ll donate $500 towards sending a child to Camp Kesum’s locations around the country that focus on giving kids the chance to be kids despite their parent’s battle, and to bond with those who know what they’re going through.

“I’m excited to support Camp Kesem and Scoring For Good,” said Manuel. “Their work has made an impact on my life and I’m honored to help kids who, just like me, have had cancer impact a parent. I’m dedicated to joining Camp Kesem for a second year and I hope that my fellow athletes will join us to make an immediate difference in the world.”
