Bills RB C.J. Spiller, who is entering the final year of his contract, had to answer questions about his future from the media following Tuesday night’s practice. Spiller’s stance has remained the same throughout and it was no different Tuesday.
“I’m under contract. I knew that was going to come up,” said Spiller. “I don’t really pay any attention to that. I’m a Buffalo Bill through and through. I love this place, this organization loves me. I’m here until further notice.”
When asked if he’s frustrated that he has to address his future in the wake of certain reports, Spiller understands it’s part of being an NFL player.
“It’s just one of those things. I’ve had some good conversations with Russ Brandon and Doug Whaley. One thing I’ve learned is that you can’t believe everything out there and I don’t,” he said. “I don’t pay any attention to that, the only time I hear about it is from one of my family members or one of my friends. I’m not going out there seeking it, trying to find it. I love this place, I love being here in Buffalo, I love the people. Just to see the reception that Andre Reed got at the Hall of Fame, that’s the only thing I’m worried about, coming out here and getting ready with my teammates, getting ready for September 7th against the Chicago Bears.”
