You could see it on the field in the team’s last full practice before their preseason game this evening with Carolina. In a goal line drill Duke Williams fill a gap at lightning speed, met ‘Boobie’ Dixon in the hole and kept him from reaching the goal line. With a good chance of seeing more playing time tonight knowing Da’Norris Searcy missed the team’s last two training camp practices due to a family matter, Williams is anxious to make plays of similar magnitude against the Panthers.
Part of the reason Duke Williams feels so comfortable in making plays is because no matter who he might be paired with at safety, he has snaps under his belt with all of them.
“We don’t miss a beat .We try to rotate everybody,” Williams told Buffalobills.com. “Everybody is interchangeable. So if me and Aaron (Williams) are on the field, or me and Da’Norris (Search) or me and (Jonathan) Meeks it’s nothing foreign. We’re all used to communicating with each other. We meet together with the corners so we’re able to communicate with them also.”
