It was encouraging news coming out of Thursday’s practice for the Bills. Two important starters on both sides of the ball were full go in practice, which brightens the outlook for both concerning Sunday’s opener in Chicago.
For a second straight day Sammy Watkins practiced fully in his return from bruised ribs. Watkins moved well out on the field and did not appear to be inhibited during the media viewing portions of practice.
Meanwhile Stephon Gilmore, who was limited on Wednesday with a groin injury, was a full participant Thursday.
“I’m feeling good,” said Gilmore. “I’m just getting my feet wet and just going out there and practicing hard.”
On offense during individual position drills the coaches have been working to get Watkins extra reps with QB EJ Manuel in an effort to make up for the lost time due to Watkins’ absence from most of the last three preseason games.
