Seahawks Parade Football

A shortened version of the show tonight as the NFL kicks off the regular season. With that, we asked the listeners their picks for this year’s Super Bowl matchup and who will take it all. There were plenty responses choosing Seattle, New England, Denver, and even New Orleans.

As the Bills ready for their matchup with the Bears they met the media once again after today’s practice session. We put together another version of Around the Locker Room where we heard from a handful of players including Stephon Gilmore, Chris Williams, and Fred Jackson.

Later in the show, we were joined by former Bills punter and football commentator Paul Maguire. Maguire looked back on his playing career in Buffalo and on his broadcast career which spanned the NFL and college ranks. Maguire will be emceeing next weekend’s Bills Alumni V.I.P. Gala which will honor Ralph Wilson, Jr. He gave his thoughts on the Bills late owner.

“It was phenomenal what this guy did for Buffalo. The most important thing is what he said in his lifetime, as long as he owned the Buffalo Bills they will always be in Buffalo and John, you knew he could have sold this team and gone somewhere else. That was a man of his word to Buffalo and to everyone that knew him.”
