A podcast edition of The John Murphy Show on Tuesday. We started with the news of the day from around the league. We also heard from safety Aaron Williams, running back C.J. Spiller, and head coach Doug Marrone.
Sam Monson, the Senior Analyst at Pro Football Focus joined us to discuss his recent breakdown of this past Sunday’s game against the Chargers. He discussed the ratings that were given for players during the game, how they are concluded, and what that means for a players position. He specifically touched on the high grade for defensive tackle Kyle Williams.
“Games like this when he’s really at his best, he is as good as anybody. He was an absolute force against the run and the pass. He was making a total nuisance of himself controlling those interior San Diego guys, driving into gaps and generally disrupting what they wanted to do.”
Monson had praise for the players in the defensive backfield as well, especially for safety Aaron Williams and cornerback Corey Graham.
