His offseason wasn’t the kind that any NFL player would want to have, but coming off his best individual game this season this past Sunday, Dareus is a full month into the season and his commitment to the straight and narrow has left his head coach encouraged.
“He’s been to work. We’ve had zero issues,” said Doug Marrone of Dareus. “He’s worked hard in the weight room. He’s worked hard on the practice field. Not one issue with anything. From that standpoint I’m proud of that. He’s doing what he should do to be a pro. That’s what you should do in this league and that’s what’s expected of you.”
Dareus had four tackles, including three for loss, a sack and a quarterback hit in last week’s loss to the Texans.
