Section V Coach of the Week hits milestone win

Posted by Buffalo Bills on October 23, 2014 – 2:11 pm

The Leroy High School Oatkan Knights beat the Perry High School Mustangs 45-6 last Friday night to solidify their number one seed in the upcoming Class C playoffs. With that victory, Leroy improved to an undefeated 7-0 record, and head coach Brian Moran recorded his milestone 200th win. For that big win on both the personal and team levels, the Bills and the New York National Guard are honoring Moran with this week’s Section V Coach of the Week Award.

The Coach of the Week program has been a weekly staple of the high school football season on and this year was expanded to Section V. In addition to the recognition online, Moran and other winning coaches receive a $1,000 grant for their football programs from the Bills and the New York National Guard, a certificate signed by Bills President Russ Brandon, General Manager Doug Whaley, and Head Coach Doug Marrone recognizing their accomplishment, a Bills hat, and an invitation to join the Bills on-field December 14th for pregame ceremonies prior to kickoff against the Green Bay Packers. At that point, a High School Coach of the Year will be selected for sections V and VI, with each winner receiving an additional $1,000 grant for their football program.

Congratulations to Coach Moran!
